Price Your Photography Services

I’ve spent a long time… “refining” my photography skills and invested a lot into the hobby.  I only lack the discipline to share the products of my experiments and experience.  I hope to get better at that in the near future.

As I’d love to earn a living working on creative projects, such as photography, here’s a post to help you set your prices when doing freelance photography:

Abandoned Hospital in LA

These photos are very impressive!  It’s hard to understand how a place like a hospital can just be abandoned with lots of stuff still left behind….

B&H Event Space Videos!

I’m probably late to the game here…. but, I got a B&H email today and saw that they have videos on their site!  I love this store, while most people I know have grown to hate the commotion that goes on there.  Thought this could be a good resource for my family members that are into photography, as well as anyone else looking for some tutorial videos and useful advice.

$150 Photos from Space… with Your Camera!

MIT students spent less than $150 to send a camera to space and had it take pictures every 5 seconds the entire trip up!  You can read about it more, and also look at the links on this page to see their project website:

Canon Cameras can be Hacked

You can install updated firmware in Canon cameras that “unlock” features that are usually only available on an SLR.  Maybe this is something to install on one of your old compact cameras?

Sharp Telephoto Shots

This one’s more for my dad.  I got him a telephoto lens for Christmas last year and it’s become his favorite toy. This is a pretty extensive tutorial on how to get sharp shots with zooms.  Not illustrated, but if you’re interested in technique, might be useful.
